I’ll confess: I’m a girly girl in some ways. I love my dresses. It’s rare for me to wear jeans or trousers. Pink and purple are my all-time favourite colours. I love getting my nails done. And I’m obsessed with wedding dresses. I’ve never been married, you understand, and I’m unlikely to be since my current beau is dead against it. And still, I follow a ridiculous number of wedding dress shops on TikTok. It’s a guilty pleasure, okay? So when I had the chance to write for Colwick Hall Hotel about their civil wedding ceremonies, I jumped at it.
The Problem With Being A Copywriter For Wedding Venues
While it’s always great fun to write about weddings, wedding planning, wedding decorations, and (obviously) wedding dresses, there is a huge personal downside. It makes me very much want to get married. I’m fairly sure I’m now so well-versed in the minutia of weddings that I could open a wedding planning business that would be a runaway success. If I ever get tired of writing (not likely) it’s a definite possibility. Colwick Hall is a beautiful venue that was inspiring to write for. While I’m not local to the Nottingham area it’s on my list of places to visit when I eventually make my pilgrimage to see the tree that once housed Robin Hood (I mean…clearly it didn’t, but I want to see it anyway).
